Dental Care During Pregnancy - Southshore Skipping Stones
Oral health directly affects your pregnancy. Tooth decay is a bacterial infection, and as you know, during pregnancy you want to avoid infections of any kind. Tooth decay is no different, so don’t be afraid to take care of your teeth while you are pregnant.
During pregnancy, prenatal oral health classes and individual counseling are offered to expectant parents and caregivers; and continue with newborns and infants through home visits and hands on oral hygiene instructions. The programs focus on education, counseling, prevention and finding dental care providers for every member of the family. Our programs are offered in both English and Spanish.
